
Individual Prayer:
Part 1: 6 Times Per Day (5-10 Minutes) (40 Days of Personal Prayer)
Morning: Worship (Matthew 6:9 - Our Father - Hallowed be thy Name)
a. Begin prayer be acknowledging how great God is
b. Begin prayer by offering your love to God
c. Begin prayer by offering thanksgiving to God. (would be a good
time to think back over the past year and…)
i. Thank Him for the blessings he’s brought to you and your
family in the past year.
ii. Thank Him for the times He’s brought you through
trouble in the last year.
iii. Thank Him for keeping and protecting you in the last
year.
iv. Thank Him in advance for what He is going to do in the
year to come for you, your family, your church family, etc…

Mid-Morning: Will (Matthew 6:10 - Thy Kingdom Come - Surrender to Him)
a. Pray prayers of submission – verbalizing that you are placing your
desires and cares in His hand.
b. Ask God to guide you into His will for the next year.
c. Ask God for answers to issues you might be facing.
d. Ask God to help you trust His leading in your life.
e. Ultimately, surrender your will to His will.

Afternoon: Want (Matthew 6:11 - Give us this day - Bring your needs and desires to God)
a. Begin to ask God for the things that you need and want.
b. Be bold – identify needs and desires and ask Him to open doors
that you cannot open.
c. Pray for Spiritual things here as well as temporal things.
i. Pray that God draw you closer to Him.
ii. Pray that God lead you in study of His Word.
iii. Pray that God bring great revival to New Life.
iv. Pray that God use you to disciple others into a greater
knowledge and relationship with Jesus
v. Pray for your finances here.
vi. Pray for your family here.
vii. Pray for others here.
b. Be bold – identify needs and desires and ask Him to open doors
that you cannot open.
c. Pray for Spiritual things here as well as temporal things.

Mid-Afternoon: Wash (Matthew 6:12 - Forgive us - Ask God to wash away any frustrations, sin, anger etc from the day)
a. Let the time of surrender of your will and brining your needs to
God move you into a time of confession.
b. Ask God to wash you of sin.
c. Ask God to wash you of shame that may have attached itself to
you because of sin.
d. Ask God to remove any hindrance in your life that would interfere
with a relationship with Him.
e. Ask God to purify your thought life.
f. Ask God to forgive you of wrong thoughts, words, and actions.
g. Ask God to bring you into a place of closeness to Him.
h. Ask God to place a hunger for holiness and pleasing Him in your
life in greater measure than ever before.

b. Ask God to keep His hand upon you, your family, and your church family.
c. Ask God to give guidance and direction to those you love, to yourself, and to your spiritual leaders.
d. Ask God to cover your mind and body with the cleansing, healing and overcoming power of His blood.
e. Begin to pray AGAINST the efforts of the enemy that would try to hinder you, your loved ones, and the church in the coming year.
f. Pray FOR health and blessing and AGAINST sickness and
curses.
b. Ask God to keep His hand upon you, your family, and your church family.
c. Ask God to give guidance and direction to those you love, to yourself, and to your spiritual leaders.
d. Ask God to cover your mind and body with the cleansing, healing and overcoming power of His blood.

Late Evening/Bedtime: Worship (Matthew 6:13 - For thine is the kingdom - Worship God and give thanks for the day)
a. Conclude your prayer with WORSHIP, PRAISE and
THANKSGIVING.
b. Shout and Dance before the Lord.
c. Lift your hands to the Lord.
d. Clap your hands to the Lord.
e. Kneel before the Lord in humility and reverence.
